Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data is Axima Networks GmbH, Nonnendamm 33, 13627 Berlin, Germany.
You can contact us for privacy-related matters at legal@aximanetworks.com.
2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the website aximanetworks.com, including the contact form, business email communication, the coverage table, and links to our external social media presence.
3. Data processed when visiting this website
When you access this website, technical data may be processed automatically by our hosting, infrastructure, and security providers. This may include IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, device information, transferred data volume, HTTP status code, and server log information.
The purposes are website delivery, technical operation, security monitoring, abuse prevention, error analysis, and maintaining the availability of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of a B2B company website.
4. Coverage data and local browser storage
The coverage page may request country and service availability data from an Axima Networks API. This request may create normal server log data as described above.
The website may use local browser storage to cache non-personal coverage table data for a limited period so that the table loads faster and remains usable if the API is temporarily unavailable. This storage is used for functionality and performance only and is not used to identify visitors or create user profiles.
5. Contact form and email enquiries
If you use the contact form, the website prepares an email in your email client. The website itself does not store the submitted message. If you send the email or contact us directly, we process the information you provide, such as name, company, business email address, role, enquiry type, message content, telephone number if provided, and related business communication data.
This also applies to enquiries sent to our business mailboxes, including sales@aximanetworks.com, support@aximanetworks.com, lnp@aximanetworks.com, did@aximanetworks.com, pda@voice-on.de, and legal@aximanetworks.com.
The purposes are responding to enquiries, qualifying business requirements, preparing offers, handling operational requests, managing customer or partner communication, and documenting business communication where necessary. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication relates to pre-contractual or contractual matters, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general B2B communication and internal routing, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where legal retention or compliance obligations apply.
6. Business contacts and existing relationships
If you are a customer, supplier, partner, or other business contact, we may process business contact details and communication data in order to manage the business relationship, provide services, coordinate technical or commercial topics, handle support, and comply with legal obligations. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b), Art. 6(1)(f), or Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, depending on the context.
7. Cookies, consent, and Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It helps us understand how visitors use the website, which pages are relevant, and where technical or content improvements may be useful.
Google Analytics will only be loaded after your prior consent through a consent mechanism. The legal basis for consent-based analytics processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Access to or storage of information on your device for analytics purposes, including analytics cookies such as _ga or similar Google Analytics identifiers, will be based on your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG, unless a statutory exception applies.
Google Analytics may process usage data such as page views, referral information, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, campaign parameters, and interaction events. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses according to Google's current product information. Analytics data retention, available withdrawal options, and the exact Google Analytics cookies or identifiers are shown in the consent interface.
8. Social media links
This website may link to the Axima Networks presence on LinkedIn. The website does not embed a LinkedIn feed. If you click the LinkedIn link, you leave this website and LinkedIn processes data under its own responsibility. Please review LinkedIn's privacy information before using LinkedIn services.
9. Recipients and service providers
Personal data may be processed by service providers that support hosting, domain and DNS services, website security, email, IT administration, customer communication, legal, accounting, and business operations. These providers process data either as processors under Art. 28 GDPR, as independent controllers, or under another legally permitted role depending on the service.
We do not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed to public authorities, courts, advisers, or other third parties if required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or necessary for legitimate business operations.
10. International transfers
Axima Networks does not intend to make independent transfers of website enquiry data outside the European Economic Area. Where we use service providers, we prefer processing locations within the European Economic Area.
For Google Analytics, Google may process or access analytics data through international infrastructure or affiliated companies. Where this results in a transfer outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must be based on an appropriate safeguard under Chapter V GDPR, such as an adequacy decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism provided by Google.
11. Retention
Server log data is retained only as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting, and operational purposes, unless longer retention is required to investigate abuse or comply with legal obligations.
Contact and business communication data is retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry, maintain the business relationship, document commercial or technical decisions, and comply with statutory retention obligations. Commercial and tax-relevant business records may be retained for the statutory retention periods applicable in Germany.
12. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Where we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time.
13. Supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for Axima Networks GmbH in Berlin is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
14. No automated decision-making
We do not use personal data collected through this website for automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
15. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy if the website, contact process, hosting setup, service providers, consent mechanism, analytics setup, marketing tools, or other data processing activities change.
16. German version
A German version of this Privacy Policy is available here: Datenschutzerklaerung.
In case of discrepancies, disputes, or interpretation questions, the German version shall prevail.
